Building the rebar support for the
pilings...
Takes some heavy equipment to move all that steel around.....

The piling casings are the housing for the rebar
and concrete.
OK, so just how do you construct a piling?

First you drill a hole 3ft. wide and 65ft. deep.
Then you hammer in the casing.
Put
the rebar inside the casing.
And, pour in a little concrete.
Let the concrete set for a few minutes, pull the
casing
out and go on to the next location. One down, sixty two
more to go.

Drill and pour, drill and pour. According
to latest report, on Oct. 17th. the last piling was poured.
In all 87 pilings averaging 15 yards of concrete per piling.
