WAVE buses are equipped with wheelchair
lifts. Those persons needing additional information
regarding ADA
accessibility of the buses, and/or individual eligibility for ADA paratransit services can call Public Works
at 761-3245.
Wave Summer Schedule
The Wave transit
offers a new schedule to accommodate your summer activities. For
more information about the

The
following schedule and route for The WAVE will become
effective Monday, November 3, 2003 for both WAVE buses:
From the
Convention Centre, the WAVE will travel south down Padre
Boulevard, over the causeway to the Port Isabel
Lighthouse, library, west along Highway 100 to the
Wal-Mart area; turning east along highway 100 to the PI
Museum, back over the causeway to the Sea Ranch /
Schlitterbaun area. At this
point the WAVE will turn north and travel along the
frontage road of Padre Boulevard, merging north onto Padre
Boulevard, turning right (east) on Haas St. and travel
north along Gulf Boulevard to Sunset. At Sunset, the WAVE
will turn left (west) to Padre Boulevard, and continue
north to the Convention Centre to turn around and being
the route again.
Both
WAVE buses will follow the route above at 30 minute
intervals, and will continue to operate from 7 a.m. until
7 p.m. every day of the week, free of charge.
