FEMA TO PROVIDE INDIVIDUAL ASSISTANCE

The President has signed the declaration that allows individual citizens to apply for FEMA assistance.  To apply, follow this link to FEMA.gov and follow the instructions for assistance.  You can also apply by calling 1-800-621-FEMA (3362) 

Small Business Administration

Through its Office of Disaster Assistance (ODA), the SBA is responsible for providing affordable, timely and accessible financial assistance to homeowners, renters and businesses following a disaster.  Financial assistance is available in the form of low-interest, long-term loans.

SBA's Assistance hotline is
1-800-659-2955 or click here to visit their website  If you are directed to the SBA loan program from FEMA, you MUST register, or you will not be able to receive help from FEMA .  Just because you register for a loan, you do not have to take it.

The filing deadline to return applications for property damage is September 29, 2008.  The EIDL deadline is May l, 2009.
