Living on South Padre Island is normally peaceful.  However, from time to time, there may be emergency situations that require your attention. Should an emergency arise, the Mayor of South Padre Island will make periodic announcements, through the various media (ex: television, radio, fax broadcasts) to advise you as to what actions you should take.
